BioSpace’s exclusive Hotbed Map highlights nine different regions to watch across the U.S. This map, made in vibrant color for BioSpace showcases a one-of-a-kind glance at some of 2023’s headline-making companies. “We’re thrilled to roll out 2023’s exclusive Hotbed Map designs,” said Josh Goodwin, CEO of BioSpace. “These artistic renderings are a wonderful way for companies to highlight their brand within the industry to their employees, investors and onlookers. Biotech Bay The Biotech Bay Hotbed includes San Francisco Bay, Menlo Park and Palo Alto regions and is a dominant region in the life sciences sector, hosting global organizations and startups alike. Industry leaders like Amgen, AbbVie, Nektar Therapeutics, Metagenomi and Santen--the San Francisco Bay and Northern California region is comprised of cutting-edge science and medicine. Genetown The Boston/Cambridge region is home to some of the nation’s most well-known and prestigious Ivy League universities and laser-sharp research hubs including Harvard University, MIT and Massachusetts General Hospital. It’s no wonder the area also packs power in dynamo life science companies as well, in particular, cell and gene therapy. Bio NC The Bio NC Hotbed boasts Research Triangle Park, North America’s largest high-technology research and science park, nestled right in North Carolina. Besides being a beautiful place to call home with cultural hubs like Asheville, tucked in the mountains, the region is consistently listed among the nation’s top 10 biopharma hubs. BioForest Home to gorgeous cities and desirable cultural spots, the Pacific Northwest BioForest Hotbed is comprised of biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies in Oregon and Washington.  Companies calling this region home include Lundbeck, Sana Biotechnology, Visus Therapeutics, Chinook Therapeutics and Umoja Biopharma.
