This paper established the determination of salvianic acid A and protocatechuic aldehyde in compound Danshen dripping pills by HPLC at one time.The detection condition was as follows: C18 column, methanol-water-glacial acetic acid (19:80:1) as mobile phase, and detect wavelength of 279 nm.The results showed that salvianic acid A and protocatechuic aldehyde had good linear relation in range of 10-80 mg/L and 2-16 mg/L, the average recovery rates of salvianic acid A and protocatechuic aldehyde were 99.5% and 99.7%, and RSD were 1.6% and 1.3% resp.In conclusion, this method was simple, sensitive and accurate with easy sample disposal, and can be used as quality control method for compound Danshen dripping pills.
