White and green chem. contribute significantly to improving the sustainability of the chem. industry.Based on green and white metrics, ten sustainability tools have been developed.Several tools were used to evaluate how environmentally friendly, innovative as well as forthright RP-HPLC and mean centering of ratio spectra (MCR) techniques were used to simultaneously analyze and sep. sodium hyaluronate (SDH) and benzalkonium chloride (BNZ) in eye drops. An HPLC study utilizing 0.07 M sodium sulfate adjusted to pH 3.0 and Ethanol (90:10, volume/volume) with 205 nm UV detection used an isocratic approach. The experiment used a Partisil Hichrom SCX column (150 mm x 4.6 mm, 5μm), 20μL injection volume, and a 0.8 mL/min flow rate. The column oven was set at 25°C for each sequence. With the aid of the MCR spectral method, the overlapping of the medication' spectral parameters was efficiently resolved. This technique enabled SDH and BNZ to distinguish at 222.1 and 215 nm wavelengths.HPLC and MCR calibration curves revealed a correlation coefficient exceeding 0.999 for all medications between 10-200μg/mL and 5-30μg/mL.The approach produces good recovery results with 98% to 102%.The proposed approach has been validated following ICH principles.
