Objective To value of thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2), and IgE (IgE) in predicting psoriasis eczema in children. Methods A total of 275 psoriasis vulgaris patients with blood heat syndrome were selected as study objects, and were divided into exptl. group (n=125) and control group (n=150) according to whether eczema lesions occurred. The clin. data, TSLP, TLR2 and IgE expressions of the two groups were compared. Pearson correlation anal. was used to analyze the correlations of TSLP, TLR2 and IgE in the exptl. group, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of TSLP, TLR2 and IgE in pediatric psoriatic eczema lesions. Results There were no significant differences in age, gender, and psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) score between the two groups (P>0.05). The incidence of pruritus in the exptl. group was 96.00% (120/125), which was higher than 76.67% (115/150) in the control group (P<0.05). The expression levels of serum TSLP and TLR2 in the exptl. group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), while there was no significant difference in the IgE expression level between the two groups (P>0.05). There were significant pos. correlations between TSLP and TLR2 (r=0.853, P<0.001), between TLR2 and IgE (r=0.670, P<0.001), and between TSLP and IgE (r=0.677, P<0.001). ROC curve showed that the areas under the curve of TSLP, TLR2 and IgE in predicting pediatric psoriatic eczema lesions were 0.718, 0.752 and 0.565, resp. Conclusion Any two of TSLP, TLR2 and IgE in serum of patients with psoriasis and eczema are pos. correlated, and the expression levels of TSLP and TLR2 are significantly higher than those in patients without eczema. TSLP and TLR2 can predict eczema lesions in psoriasis children, and TLR2 has a better prediction effect.
