The strategy used by AERES Biomedical for the optimal humanization of a murine antibody is described.The strategy involves the creation of functional human-like antibodies by grafting the antigen binding complementarity determining regions (CDR) from the variable domains of rodent antibodies onto the framework regions of human variable domains.The wide base of knowledge acquired through each humanization project has made it possible to accurately predict key residues that are important for the humanized antibody even before making the antibody.
