Detecting Local and Systemic Fluid Accumulation With a Wearable Bioimpedance Sensor in Patients With Fluid Management Problems (DELOS)
The investigation is a prospective cohort study, where two patient groups will be monitored by a wearable bioimpedance sensor during their scheduled treatment. The overall objective is to assess the bioimpedance sensor's ability to detect local and systemic fluid accumulation.
Sub-investigation A will investigate the ability of the device to detect fluid accumulation in patients with stable chronic kidney disease undergoing regular and planned hemodialysis.
Sub-investigation B will investigate the ability of the device to track hydration status in patients scheduled for an "intensive" dialysis treatment regime, due to severe overhydration.
Assessment of Contributing Factors to Local Bioimpedance Spectroscopy Using a Wearable Sensor: An Intervention Study
This is an exploratory interventional study. The aim of the investigation is to identify and quantify contributing factors to local bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) measured by a wearable sensor patch, particularly the effect of fluid shifts caused by postural changes and lower body negative pressure (LBNP).
Assessing Hydration Status With a Wearable Bioimpedance Sensor in Elderly Individuals - A Prospective Feasibility Study
This is a single-arm prospective study, investigating the feasibility, usability, and safety of a wearable bioimpedance sensor in elderly individuals. The sensor is applied on the upper back of the subject, and will be replaced once weekly. The study will include four phases, each interspersed by an interim analysis. Each phase will have a duration of four weeks.
