Lead sulfide nanoparticles were manufactured from lead oxide using a procedure described in the Ayurveda formulary of India, which involved using a quantum of the heat of up to 60 puta, which is officially known as the Shasti puta Naga Bhasma.

The study shows sulfurization of nanoparticles significantly decreased their toxicity due to the lower solubility.

The present work used the arsenic sulfide media and traditional puta for Naga bhasma processing and the characterization of the same has been conducted. Different analytical techniques like X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-Ray (EDX) spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and thermo-gravimetry analysis (TGA) were used.

Powder x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Thermogravimetric analysis, and differential thermal analysis all showed that the produced nanoparticles are lead sulfide nanoparticles with a particle size of an average of 84.60 and the crystalline average size of 69.06 nm.

The rounded, rod, oval, cubic, and circular morphology of the produced lead sulfide nanoparticles can be seen in the SEM image. The stretching and bending functional groups in the sample were alkanes, alkenes, aromatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, carboxylic acids, alkyl carboxylic acids, alkyl alpha, beta-unsaturated, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acid, aliphatic amines, primary amines, secondary amines, alkyl halides, alkyl halides are studied through the FTIR spectrum.

Acute upper limb ischemia (AULI) is a medical and surgical emergency involving sudden decrease in limb perfusion resulting in threat for limb viability. A 52 years old male patient was suffered from AULI. He had the complaints of numbness and pain in left upper limb, headache and pale discoloration of left-hand fingers and acute onset left upper extremity weakness.The Ayurveda diagnosis was considered as Vatarakta. He was advised oral medications - Kaishor guggulu in the dose of 750 mg twice a day with Jwarhar kashaya 40 ml twice a day, Ashwagandha Churna 3 g, Guduchi churna1g, Shatavari churna 2 g, Chopchini churna 1 g with milk twice a day, Shilajatwadi loha 500 mg and Mahavatvidhvansana rasa 250 mg twice a day with honey. All these medications were continued for 12 months. Two courses of Mustadi yapana basti (medicated enema enriched with milk) and Shalishastika pinda swedana (a specific type of sudation with a poultice of rice bolus) and Nasya (nasal therapy) with Shadabindu oil were given. Initial computed tomography (CT) angiogram revealed the abrupt cutoff of the left brachial artery in distal part due to hypodense lesion (thrombus) in the lumen while after 12 months of treatment CT angiogram revealed 70-80 % luminal narrowing in proximal part of left ulnar artery. It suggests the revascularization of left ulnar artery. All the symptoms of AULI were also resolved. We report a unique case of AULI managed with Ayurvedic interventions.

The abnormal and uncontrolled growth of lymphatic cells present in the lymphatic system, the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, and bone marrow is called lymphoma. Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of malignant growth in lymphatic tissues. Despite conventional anticancer therapy and remedy, there has been no cure for it. No direct reference to Hodgkin's lymphoma has been found in Ayurveda, although the clinical manifestations of Apachi like enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, or groin, painless swelling, and itchy skin, are similar to those seen in Hodgkin's lymphoma. A case of Hodgkin's lymphoma in a 34-year-old female who presented with multiple enlarged lymph nodes in the right supra clavicle at the neck, along with pain and swelling at site, right ear discharge, burning chest, and headache for the last two years. Biopsy confirmed it to be Hodgkin's lymphoma. The patient was treated with Arbudh hara Kashya, Kanchanar, Haridra, Gomutra, Rodhra Rasa, Tapyadi Loha, Swarna Vasant Malati, vaikrant Bhasma, Heerak Bhasma, Amritbhalatak Avaleha, Sanjivini Vati, Lavan Bhaskar Churna, Swarjika Kshara, Tablet Anacarcin, Kachnar Guggulu in form of ShamanaChikitsa. Local application in the form Kachanaradi Lepa was advised after local swedan with ArkpatraandErandpantra. The nodular heterogeneous mass and growth on neck of the patient reduced with clinical gradation from 17 to 4 with reduction in first lymph node from 122 mm to 80 mm and in the second lymph node from 108 mm to 20 mm, while in the third lymph node reduced from 32 mm to zero with Ayurveda treatment alone. Thus, a patient with Hodgkin's lymphoma was treated with Ayurveda successfully without conventional therapy.
