A review. In the 2000's, the idea of energy conservation regulations on cube ice makers emerged in foreign countries. Accordingly, we have developed a water and power saving jet spraying type cube ice maker. To save water consumption, the timing of ice making water supply was changed, and the ice making water tank was redesigned. Defrosting water was also saved by changing the defrost method to reduce the amount of ice remaining on the water pan. To reduce power consumption. a highly efficient compressor was adopted, and d.c. condenser fan motor and d.c. circulation pump were employed. As a result, we have successfully achieved the CEE and MEPS limit values.
