AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Restore Hyper Wellness (Restore), a leading provider of proactive wellness services, announced the appointment of Richard Joseph, MD as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Joseph will be responsible for clinical guidance of medical modalities and protocols offered at Restore as the company surpasses 175 wellness studios across nearly 40 states.

Dr. Joseph brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the healthcare and fitness industries. He maintains a clinical practice with a focus on obesity and metabolic health at a Boston-based hospital. He is the founder of VIM Medicine, a clinical model that integrates preventive medical care with health and fitness services. And, he was already a member of Restore’s Medical Advisory Board before joining full-time as its Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Joseph completed his internal medicine training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard-affiliated hospital in Boston. He is a longtime personal trainer and fitness expert, currently conducts group-based lifestyle programs, and is a co-author of The Lifestyle Medicine Handbook: An Introduction to the Power of Healthy Habits.
